International Day at the Market a fun-filled program of performances, activities, and crafts from many corners around the globe. The Winchester Farmers Market and the Winchester Multicultural Network are delighted to once again bring this event to the Market for your family’s enjoyment, an introduction perhaps to new cultures, to get acquainted with our international neighbors and to learn about a larger world.

Natraj Trio: Hear Phil Scarff, master jazz saxophonist who leads this world jazz ensemble, play Indian/Afro/Jazz.

Sinha Capoeira Group performs a hybrid of Brazilian martial arts and dance, acrobatic stunts accompanied with explosive drumming.

Chinese singing group Party One (1) will sing “Going back to Mother’s house.” (2) A ladies’ group song “Drift Softly.” Two solos, (3) “Autumn Leaves” and (4) “Spanish Girl,” by Paula Zhao. (5) A solo, “Go around the World,” by Catherine Liu. (6) A harmonica performance.

Chinese yoyo. Students perform amazing tricks with Chinese yoyos.

Lexington Historical Society Colonial Singers present music enjoyed at the time of the American Revolution. The group performs in period clothing, accompanied by historically accurate instruments – guitar, lap dulcimer, tin whistle, and drum.

Chinese Taichi : An instructor will demonstrate.
