A highlight of Columbus Day weekend will be the Winchester Farmers Market’s Second Annual Chef’s Competition featuring chefs from 4 local restaurants. A Tavola, Blackhorse Tavern, the Local, and First House Pub chefs will have half an hour to prepare and cook a dish of their choosing using only ingredients found at the Market. A panel of three celebrity judges will rate their efforts based on creativity give their appraisals on their performance and creativity.

Fresh guacamole from Patti’s Guacamole, sweet tasting small batch granola by The Roasted Granola, pastries from Keegan Kreations, and E L Silvia Farms , Lanni Orchards and Wright-Locke Farm will have their current fresh seasonal produce and fruits. Full time vendors Del Sur has hot and frozen empanandas, and your will also find frozen small batch pasta by Deano’s Pasta in Somerville make a great meal. New is there Vegan Dry Pasta!
